My name is Justin Kaiser and I’m in the process of building my VW Trike. This trike has been a dream for many years. About 15 years of hoping for the space to build a project and another 2 years of prepping the space.
My mentor is Type 1 Bud from Lee, IL. Bud has built upwards of 20 VW Trikes.Â

My hope is that this dream machine will stop people in their tracks.
Using basic handyman tools in my home garage, I’ll chronicle this project here from frame construction, front-end design, hydraulics, fiberglass, painting, electrics, an engine rebuild, wrought iron and wood work… the entire transformation of a pre-67 VW Beetle TransMotor into a stunning VW trike
